安德烈亞斯·克塞諾普洛斯 音樂

Greek pianist Andreas Xenopoulos has played concerts throughout France, Italy, Germany, Thailand, USA and numerous major Greek cities. He has taught master classes in Athens, Xanthi and Corfu, and many students have developed their musical skills under his guidance. Since 2002 he has composed music for three theatrical plays, piano solo works and a concerto for piano and orchestra. Major performances include National Opera Theater in Greece and music festivals such as Piano Plus Festival in Athens, Classic Fest in Xanthi, and the Tage deutch griechischer Begegnung festival in Germany. He has attended several master classes by distinguished pianists, including Reinhart Becker (Trossingen Musikhochshule, Germany), Kemal Gekic (University of Miami), Steve Glasser (Ohio State University), Maxim Mogilewsky (Bowling Green State University), Eri Nakagawa (Mahidol University of Thailand), Eduard Zilberkant (Fairbanks University – Alaska), Prisca Benoit (France) and many others. He has received musical awards in performance (1st place at the UNL concerto competition 2012, 1st prize at the Chicago Women’s University Club Compatition in Piano Performance, 3rd prize at the 14th Bowling Green State University Concerto Copmetition, 3rd interpretation chamber music award at the International composition and interpretation for chamber music competition in Greece and Special honor for Piano Sufficiency at the Greece Student Music Competition) and conducting (3rd music award in Contemporary Greek Song for mixed children’s coir competition). In 2006 Andreas Xenopoulos got involved with arts management and he is currently attending the arts entrepreneurship degree program at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. His administrative skills include organizations and productions of major cultural events in Greece. Since January 2009 he holds the position of Production Manager and Art Director of the first piano festival in Athens entitled “Piano Plus Festival”. His first professional recording was published in March 2008 under “Hellenic Classical Music Artist” and AMICME (Germany) with works by Chopin, Liszt and Mendelssohn. In 2012, Andreas Xenopoulos, got invited to Saint Petersburg – Russia to participate as a juror to the 1st Russian Heritage Piano Competition, organized by the Special Music School of Saint Petersburg Conservatory. Today, Andreas Xenopoulos, after receiving his undergraduate degree in piano performance at Ionian University – Corfu, Greece under Professor Lambis Vassiliadis and his master’s degree at Bowling Green State University, Ohio under Professor Robert Satterlee, he now a second year Doctoral student at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with Professor Dr. Paul Barnes.
