Frédéric Chopin completed his Variations for Piano on a theme by Paganini in 1829. The work is in a single movement, of about 3:30 minutes of lenght, and in the key of A major. It doesn't have an Opus number, so it is usually referred to as B. 37 according to Maurice J. E. Brown's catalogue of Chopin's work. The theme is taken from I 'Il carnevale di Venezia', Op. 10, by Niccolò Paganini.
