Pianist Chung Claire Lim has been awarded prizes from national competitions in her native South Korea, such as the Korea- Germany Brahms Piano Competition and the Japan Chopin Competition. She has also been recognized by the Kumho Culture Foundation, through several recitals at Kumho Art Hall in Seoul. Ms. Lim received her Bachelor’s of Music from Seoul National University, graduating with top honors. Subsequently, she moved to the United States to pursue a double Master's degree in Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano at the New England Conservatory of Music as a full-scholarship student graduating with honors. At NEC, she was twice selected to perform at the Piano Department Honors concert and won the school's Concerto Competition. In addition, she was selected to perform in the Messiaen Centenary concert in Jordan Hall. Ms. Lim is also a passionate chamber musician. She has served as a collaborative pianist and associate faculty member at the Killington Music Festival, Heifetz International Music Institute, Banff Centre, and Music Academy of the West. She has recently presented recitals at Princeton University, Brewster Academy, Banff Centre, Prague Conservatory and Shanghai Conservatory. In addition, she collaborates regularly with the New England Conservatory teaching studios of Paul Katz, Natasha Brofsky,Donald Weilerstein, Miriam Fried and Laurence Lesser. These collaborations have lead to concerts throughout New England where she has performed the complete cello sonatas ofBeethoven, and the violin, viola and cello sonatas of Johannes Brahms. Ms. Lim has studied with Vivian Weilerstein, Bruce Brubaker, and Hung-Kuan Chen. She is currently a CollaborativePiano major at Boston University, pursuing her Doctor of Music Arts degree as a full scholarship student and graduate assistant for her respected department, under the tutelage of Shiela Kibbe.  Violinist Hyun Jung Kim has garnered top prizes from prestigious international competitions, such as the 6th Moscow International Competition in Russia and the 2nd Yokohama International Competition in Japan. In 2007, Ms. Kim made her live debut performance on Korea`slargest national broadcasting network KBS, on both television and radio as one of Korea`s young music prospects. She toured for the Olympics in Central and South America as one of the members of the cultural diplomatic mission and her live performances were broadcasted on radio in Panama and Guatemala. She was also nominated as one of Koreaʼs Rising Stars of 2010 by Kumho Cultural Foundation and gave numerous recital appearances throughout Korea and the United States. She received a Bachelor`s degree from Seoul National University and moved to the United States to study at the New England Conservatory, with Donald Weilerstein as afull merit scholarship student. Ms. Kim also holds a Pinchas Zukerman Performance degree for young soloists from the Manhattan School of Music as a full merit scholarship student. Currently, Ms. Kim is in her second year as a Doctorate of Musical Arts candidate and teaching assistant at Boston University, studying with Bayla Keyes. She has served as concertmaster for the NEC Chamber Orchestra and BU Chamber Orchestra. As a passionate teacher, she has been teaching a string class at New York University and also a non-major violin class at BU. As a chamber musician, her chamber group, Charis Piano Quintet and Duo Davvero, have also been activelyperforming in the USA.
