Johan Halvorsen was a Norwegian composer, conductor and violinist. His best known works today are the Bojarenes inntogsmarsj (Entry March of the Boyars) and Bergensiana, along with his Passacagliaand Sarabande, duos for violin and viola based on themes by George Frideric Handel.
