Telemann Viola Concerto, TWV 51:G9

Georg Philipp Telemann wrote his Viola concerto in G major at some point between 1716 and 1721. The piece, now listed as TWV 51:G9 according to the catalogue of Telemann's work by Martin Ruhnke, is the first known concerto for viola and as such, it has an undeniable historical role in the consolidation of the viola as a soloist instrument. It is a piece in four movements, lasting about 15 minutes.
