El Arreglito is a habanera composed by Sebastián Yradier. Yradier, whose birth name was Sebastián Iradier Salaverri, is know primarily for his habaneras (especially 'La Paloma'). El Arreglito was used by Georges Bizet in his opera Carmen. Bizet took it for a folk song, so he drew inspiration on the melody to compose the aria"L'amour est un oiseau rebelle", also known as the "Habanera". When he discovered his mistake, Bizet added a note to the vocal score of the opera, acknowledging its source.
