Zenetti Pastoralmesse

The Pastolarmesse ('Pastoral Mass') is a setting of the Mass composed by Leopold von Zenetti in 1851. It was premiered that same year, but it only appeared on print in 1995. The work is written in the key of C major and divided in 7 movements, in concordance with the structure of the Latin Mass. It calls for SATB solo voices, mixed chorus, and an orchestra consisting of a flute, 2 clarinets in C, 2 horns in C, 2 trumpets in C, timpani, strings, and organ. A standard performance of this work takes around 23 minutes.
