Bach Prelude and Fugue in C major, BWV 547

The Prelude and Fugue in C major, usually catalogued as BWV 547 is a work for organ by Johann Sebastian Bach, written around 1725 in either Leipzig or Weimar. The melodic shape at the beginning of the prelude is somewhat unusual.  The piece has been said to have some similarities with the Goldberg variations.
