Bach Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit, BWV 106

Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit (God's time is the very best time), BWV 106, also known as Actus Tragicus, is a sacred cantata composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Although the manuscript has been lost, it is commonly agreed that the work was written during Bach's time in Mühlhausen (1707 and 1708), where he held the position of organist at the Divi Blasii church. Since the BWV 106 cantata is a funeral work, various notable funerals which happened at the time have been suggested as the occasion for the composition.
