Brahms 2 Songs, Op. 91

Johannes Brahms' 2 songs for voice, viola, and piano, Op. 91, were first published in 1884. The first one, Gestillte Sehnsucht, with text by Friedrich Rückert, was from that same year. The second one, Geistliches Wiegenlied, with text by Emanuel Geibel (after Lope de Vega) had been written twenty years before, between 1863 and 1864.
