Brahms Piano Trio no. 3, Op. 101

The Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 101, by Johannes Brahms was written in the summer of 1886 while the composer was on vacation in Hofstetten, Switzerland. It was first performed on December 20th of that year by Brahms, violinist Jenő Hubay, and cellist David Popper. The duration of a performance of the four movements of this piece is about 21 minutes.
