Romance is a traditional guitar work, whose actual author is currently unknown. Known as both a staple of every begginer guitarist's repertoire and a showpiece for virtuosi, it was for a long time regarded as an anonymous composition. Diverse guitarist have claimed the piece as their own work, and it has been described as being composed by very well known figures, like Tárrega, Rubira, Yepes,Gomez, and even Sor himself.
