A German Requiem, Op. 45

A German Requiem, To Words of the Holy Scriptures, Op. 45 (Ein deutsches Requiem, nach Worten der heiligen Schrift), composed between 1865 and 1868 by Johannes Brahms, is a large-scale work solo soprano, solo tenor, chorus and orchestra. It is written in seven movements, which together last about one hour and ten minutes, making this work Brahms's longest piece.
