Jonathan Véri Musique

Jonathan Vered was born in 1993 in Kamakura, Japan. He studied violin under Ms. Nao Ozaki while he was a student in Yokohama International School, Japan. Since 2007 he has been studying with Ms. Nava Milo at the Israeli Music Conservatory. He is currently a student at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University continuing to study under Ms. Milo. Jonathan graduated from Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts where he was a member of the school’s symphony orchestra. In his senior year he was selected to perform as a soloist in a series of concerts. He also studied viola under Dr. Lilach Levanon and lead the viola section of the orchestra. A recipient of the America-Israel foundation’s scholarship he was a member of the David Goldman Programme for Outstanding Young Musicians at the Jerusalem Music Center where he participated in chamber music activities. In 2010 Jonathan won a merit of excellence as part of the Israeli Music Conservatory’s competition. He participated in the “Rencontres Estivales au Moulin” in France and the Jerusalem Music Academy summer courses in 2009. In 2010 took part in a summer course in Switzerland where he studied with Ms. Vally Blotner as well as in the Chamber Music Festival in Kfar Bloom, Israel. He has attended master classes with Miriam Fried, Julian Rachlin, Yehonatan Berick, Matvey Liberman, Prof. Michael Vaiman, Roberto Gini, Sergiu Schwartz, Patinka Kopec, Grigory Kalinovsky, Misha Vitenson. In chamber music activity, Jonathan has been instructed by Sergei Bresler, Menachem Wiesenberg, Shmuel Glazer, Honggang Li, Kristina Cooper. In summer 2011 he was accepted into the prestigious summer course at the Heifetz Music Institute, where he studied under Ms. Patinka Kopec and Mr. Grigory Kalinovsky. In Summer 2012 Jonathan gave a recital in Tokyo, Japan. In 2013 he took part in the renowned Bowdoin International Music Festival under the guidance of Mr. Sergiu Schwartz. As of August 2014, Jonathan will be studying with Mr. Schwartz at Columbus State University’s Schwob School of Music.
