Violon

Violon Partitions

The violin is the smallest member of the violin family of string instruments. It uses four strings tuned in perfect fifths (G, D, A, and E), which are attacked either by a bow or plucked with the left and right hands. The violin, together with the piano, is considered an iconic instrument of the Western 'classical' music tradition. As such, it enjoys an immense popularity, and it has been adopted for genres outside academic music, such as blues, country, jazz, rock and roll, heavy metal, and different folkloric musical expressions all over the world.
