Ulrich Brätel Sheet Music

  • Born: 1495
  • Died: 1544
  • Birthplace: Germany?

Ulrich Brätel was a German composer. He probably studied with the humanist Vadian and was a composer and performer to the Viennese, Hungarian and Polish courts, as well as the court at Heidelberg. From 1534 he was in Duke Ulrich of Württemberg's service at Stuttgart, where his chief duty was to build up a new repertory for the Reformed church. He also wrote instrumental and secular vocal music, which, like his sacred works, reveal an old-fashioned approach.
