Jacques Beers was a composer. He initially studied in Zwolle, where his father was conductor of the Stedelijk Orkest and a cello and wind instrument teacher at the music school. At age 12, he became the organist at the Roman Catholic church in Zwolle. Upon completing his studies at the Amsterdam Conservator.
