Gaston Choisnel was a French musician. He won the second price in harmony at the Paris Conservatoire in 1879. He succeeded Vierne's uncle, Charles Colin, as organist of Saint-Denis-DuSaint Sacrement in 1881 and held the post until 1914. After the death of Auguste durand in 1909, his publishing house was reorganized as Durand et Compagnie, with Jackes Durand and Choisnel as directors.
