Friedrich Wilhelm Franke was a German organist. He worked as organ teacher, harmony and counterpoint at the conservatory in Cologne. Among other things, he was organist of the Gürzenich concerts in Cologne and Rhenish, and in numerous music festivals. His life's work is mainly Protestant church music. His students included the church musician Father Gregory Schwakenberg OSB and Alfred Sittard.
