Ferdinand Zellbell Sr Sheet Music

Ferdinand Zellbell, usually called d. Ä. (The elder), born 14 or April 15, 1698 in Uppsala, died July 6, 1765 in Stockholm, was a Swedish musician, composer and organist. The family came to Sweden from Lüneburg in the 1600s. Zellbells father was a baker and alderman in Uppsala. His brother, Anders Zellbell (born about 1680, died 1727) was an officer from 1697 sometimes stand-in cathedral organist and Director of Music at Uppsala. Zellbell Elder's main instrument was the organ, piano and double bass. He was the first student and assistant to Christian Zellinger in Uppsala. In 1715 he became a member of the Royal Orchestra, and in 1719 he was appointed organist of the Great Church, after two years have been acting.
